Am I remembering wrongly, or did Yaz stop signing autographs for a while there, because of all of the hassle it was causing? I think that happened right after either he or Conigliaro was -- falsely, I believe it turned out -- accused of fondling a stewardess or something.

And, as a farmer of some experience {omg! I almost said "old farmer"!}, I always grew my potatoes and onions in adjoining fields. Maybe Yastrzemski's father and I had that in common.

As a potato and onion man....
Yaz was my hero. I knew it was potatoes, anf that onions would be nearby.
These days it is a mcmansion I guarantee
