Double Debuts
Posted by Raphy on June 10, 2010
All the recent discussions about player debuts made me wonder about the number of times that a game featured both starting pitchers making their major league debut. Here are the results for the current PI era (1920-1939,1952-2010).

That's a pretty boring list without the details, so lets fill in the some of the blanks. The debuting starters are being listed together. Pitchers who have played in the majors in 2010 are marked with a *. For more details about each game, please follow the links.

Last night in the O's game Jake Arrieta recorded his first career win. David Hernandez recorded his first career save. Is there a way to search for other instances of this?
