Sorry to hear about your tragedy, Andy.
At the end of the 1900s (now 10 years ago!), I thought it would have been interesting to come up with a statistic for that year, either very bad or very good, that matched the 2-digit year. This could be for either a team or a player. The most famous, of course, would have been Roger Maris' 61 home runs in '61. The one that never happened would have been a .500 team in a 1981 without a strike - 81 wins and 81 losses. Then again, that one wouldn't have been very bad or very good, unless it was posted by a team that was expected to be great but wasn't or one that was expected to be awful but wasn't.
After I get some end-of-the-year bills and other stuff connected with that kind of thing sorted out, I hope I'll be putting forth the money to join the Play Index. Then maybe I can make some lists of my own.
