i wonder if he has the highest plate appereances while still having the same avg as obp

I took a look. The quickest way is to look at all-time most PA in a season with 0 walks. Then to look down the list and see if they match up. Forgetting AVG = OBA, the most PA without a walk since 1901 is pitcher Ed Walsh with 156 in 1907. He was hit by a pitch though. It appears the winner is Cy Young, with 149 in 1904.
