Biographical Information[edit]

Yohandri Portal is a relief pitcher.

Portal was 3-2 with two saves and a 4.12 ERA his rookie year. In 2008-2009, the second-year hurler went 4-1 with two saves and a 6.43 ERA; he allowed a .328 average but did fan 47 in 42 innings. The southpaw was 0-4 with 16 saves and a 4.08 ERA in 2009-2010 while moving from the Metropolitanos to the Industriales. He led the Cuban Serie Nacional in saves. He pitched for Cuba in the 2010 Haarlem Baseball Week. He was 1-5 with 9 saves and a 3.00 ERA in 2010-2011. He tied Yolexis Ulacia for 7th in saves and tied Irandy Castro for 9th in games pitched (33).

In 2011-2012, he was 2-2 with 7 saves and a 4.95 ERA. He was 0-1 with 3 saves and a 4.05 ERA in 2012-2013. He was 7-2 with 5 saves and a 3.03 ERA in 2013-2014. He was 4-0 with 12 saves and a 3.49 ERA in 2014-2015. He was third in the league in saves, behind José Angel García and Vladimir Gutiérrez.

He then emigrated from Cuba and moved to Colombia. He made the Colombian national team for the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.
