Biographical Information

Yan-Fong Lai has pitched for the Taiwanese national team.

Lai represented Taiwan in the 2015 U-12 Baseball World Cup and the 2022 U-23 Baseball World Cup. He struck out 7 in 3 1/3 shutout innings against Germany in his debut in the U-23 event, and recorded two shutout innings against Venezuela. He pitched 3 1/3 shutout innings with 4 strikeouts against Australia and helped Taiwan won Bronze. Lai then made it onto Taiwan's roster for the 2023 Asian Championship. He started against Hong Kong, pitched 4 innings, allowing two runs to get the win over Lai-Him Lam; Yu-Cheng Liu closed it out.
