Biographical Information

William Bell Jr. is no relation to Negro League star William Bell Sr. The younger Bell debuted with the Kansas City Monarchs in 1949. He split the next year between the Monarchs and the Birmingham Black Barons and then spent the next four years with KC. He later worked for the US Postal Service for 34 years. He coached one youth team to a state title.
