Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Will Roberts began his professional career in 2011.

He was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 49th round of the 2008 amateur draft, but opted not to sign. He did sign after being taken by the Cleveland Indians in the fifth round of the 2011 amateur draft. In his final year of college ball, he was 11-2 with a 1.79 ERA in 105 2/3 innings, including a perfect game against George Washington University [1].

He won ten games in a professional season for the first time in 2014, going 12-12 with a 3.08 ERA in 27 starts for the Akron Aeros. He began the next year with Akron, but was promoted to Triple-A for the first time partway through the campaign.
