Team History[edit]

The Morrisania Unions (also known as the Union of Morrisania Base Ball Club) was a Pre-MLB team that played in the National Association of Base Ball Players. They won the championship against the Brooklyn Atlantics on October 10, 1867. The championship team featured a few future major leaguers such as Tommy Beals, Charlie Pabor, Dave Birdsall, and others. The club continued to play as an independent team, following the collapse of the NABBP. The club disbanded after playing its final season in 1873.

Morrisania was a town in the state of New York (and is now part of the Bronx).
