Biographical Information[edit]
Tom Cotter played six games for the Boston Reds in 1891, along for the ride as the American Association died its terrible, terrible death. He was 2-for-12 at the plate, catching five times and playing the outfield twice. Tom played for Brockton in 1892. A number of articles indicate that he was big in "roller polo" in the 1890's. He was called "the roller polo king". After his roller polo days, he ran a saloon. He died in 1906 "after numerous operations".
