Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Sean Ratliff played in the New York Mets chain from 2008-2010, reaching AA. He was originally signed by scout Doug Thurman. He hit .298/.353/.505 with 35 doubles and 21 home runs in 2010, with better numbers in AA than in A ball. While in the on-deck circle during spring training in 2011, Ratliff was hit in the face with a foul ball, sustaining 6 broken bones. He missed 2011 and played 7 games in 2012 before announcing his retirement [1].
Ratliff became a coach with the Kingsport Mets in 2015 and Brooklyn Cyclones in 2016-2017. He then became a manager with Kingsport in 2018.
