Biographical information[edit]

Third baseman Santo De Leon played in the minor leagues from 2004 to 2010.

He was signed by the Detroit Tigers in 2003 and spent that summer in the Dominican Summer League, hitting .241/.283/.317 with 25 errors in 60 games. He came to the United States in 2004 with the GCL Tigers and spent two summers with the club. He batted .273/.308/.396 the first year and .239/.248/.410 the second.

After spending 2006 with the Oneonta Tigers and batting .253/.264/.368 with two walks in 41 games, he was with the West Michigan Whitecaps in 2007 and led Midwest League third basemen in fielding (.929) and assists (120). He hit .261/.300/.344.

He split the 2008 campaign between the Lakeland Flying Tigers and the Erie SeaWolves, hitting .284/.305/.436 with 11 home runs and 43 RBI between the two clubs. In 2009, he was again with Erie (.266/.296/.411, .953 at 3B) and Lakeland (22 for 84, 5 2B, 4 BB). He played briefly with Erie in 2010 to wrap up his career.
