Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Reed Gragnani was drafted by the Boston Red Sox twice. He was initially taken by the club in the 2009 amateur draft, but did not sign, opting for college; he did sign after being taken in the 21st round of the 2013 amateur draft. The scout was Chris Calciano

In his second season, 2014, Gragnani batted .300/.409/.406 with 108 hits in 99 games for the Salem Red Sox and was named a Mid-Season All-Star and a Post-Season All-Star. The next campaign, he slumped to .224/.337/.245 in 143 at-bats between two clubs, including the Triple A Pawtucket Red Sox.

The Red Sox released him on December 19, 2016. During his stay in their system, he hit three home runs in 822 at-bats.
