Biographical Information[edit]
Rafael Andújar was on the Dominican national team that won Gold at the 1955 Pan American Games. He pitched briefly in the Milwaukee Braves chain, with the 1958 McCook Braves (0-1, 6.00 in 9 G) and Wellsville Braves (1-1 in 5 G). He pitched 8 shutout innings for the Estrellas Orientales in the Dominican League that winter.
In 1959, he was 0-2 with a 4.58 ERA in 12 games for the Estrellas but allowed 8 hits and 7 runs in 1 2/3 postseason innings. He allowed one run and retired no one for the club in 1960. He finished his winter ball career at 0-2, 3.51.
