Biographical Information[edit]
Petter Diurlin hit .261/.433/.261 for Sweden in the 2001 European Championship. He batted .156/.176/.156 in the 2003 European Championship. For the 2004 Rättvik Butchers, he hit .329/.472/.447 to finish 7th in the Elitserien in OBP. He fielded .951 at shortstop. Moving to the Sundbyberg Heat for 2005, he put up a .378/.460/.409 batting line and was 9th in the league in OBP. In the 2005 European Championship, he was 0 for 10 but drew 6 walks and scored four runs while handling 24 chances error-free at 2B.
In the 2005 Baseball World Cup, Diurlin had a miserable time as Sweden's main second baseman. He fielded .857 with 3 errors and was 0 for 11 at the plate. He tried stealing once and was thrown out. In the '06 Elitserien, Petter hit .326/.379/.365 for Stockholm. He improved to .336/.425/.446 in 2007 but fell to .267/.366/.325 in 2008. He is on Sweden's preliminary roster for the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
