Biographical Information

Pedro Palma pitched for Granma in the Cuban Serie Nacional. In 1980-1981, he tied for the league lead with 8 intentional walks. In 1983-1984, he led in starts (23), hits allowed (170) and intentional walks (9). He again led with 23 starts and in hits (176) in 1984-1985. In 1985-1986, his 15 starts led Cuba. He later pitched in Ecuador and Colombia. In 14 seasons in Cuba, he was 92-113 with 6 saves, a 4.32 ERA and .295 opponent average. He walked 415 and struck out 588 in 1,597 IP.
