My Grandma, Major League Slugger
My Grandma, Major League Slugger is a children's early chapter book by Dan Greenburg. The main character, Zack, has an 88-year-old grandmother who is not interested in sports, although Zack himself is an avid Chicago White Sox fan. Suddenly, his grandmother mysteriously develops the ability to hit mammoth home runs, earning her a contract from the desperate White Sox for a game against the Boston Red Sox with playoff implications. The Curse of the Bambino is featured in the story.
