Biographical Information

Luis Scheker was a minor league first baseman who later scouted. He hit .297/.364/.513 with 8 HR and 35 RBI for the 1994 DSL Athletics. He tied for 9th in the Dominican Summer League in home runs but fielded only .948 at 1B. The big right-hander fell to .250/.351/.383 in 16 games for the '95 AZL Athletics while fielding .970 at 1B. He was a Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners scout after that, signing César Cabral, Jordy Lara, Stolmy Pimentel and Oscar Tejeda.
