Biographical Information[edit]
"Koke" Alexander was a Negro League player for four years. An outfielder who occasionally played first or second, Alexander spent 1918 through 1920 with the Dayton Marcos. In one game in June of 1920, he went 3 for 3 with a home run and one time hit by pitch; he also made a fine running catch, earning him a shower of money from the stands for his efforts in the rare Dayton win. Overall, he hit .395 to lead the club that year. In 1921, he hit .298 for the Columbus Buckeyes and also was with the Chicago Giants in his final season.
