Biographical Information[edit]
In July of 2007, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Kevin Young was working for an online baseball instruction company in Phoenix, AZ. That winter the Mitchell Report said that Young bought 6 to 8 kits of Human Growth Hormone from 2000 to 2003, mostly in 2003 when he was recuperating from knee injuries. In 2020, he was one of three former Pirates players (alongside Matt Capps and Michael McKenry) to fill Steve Blass' role as an announcer.
