Keith Guttin has coached college baseball for over 35 years.

Guttin was All-Missouri Intercollegiate Athletic Association honorable mention at second base in 1977. He was assistant coach at Missouri State from 1979-1981 then was assistant at Rend Lake College in 1982. He became head coach of MSU in 1983. He set a school record for wins (47) in 1987 and took the team to the 2003 College World Series, their first College World Series. In 2012, he reached 1,000 career wins. He had 1,259 wins through 2018, putting him 5th among active NCAA Division I coaches. He coached Bill Mueller and Ryan Howard in college among 18 future major leaguers (through 2018). Guttin announced plans to retire at the end of the 2024 season.
