Biographical Information[edit]
Juremi Profar is the brother of major leaguer Jurickson Profar. An infielder, he played in the Texas Rangers minor league system from 2013 to 2019, reaching AAA. After being forced to sit out the 2020 season when the minor league season was cancelled, played for the Dutch national team in the 2020 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament and 2021 European Championship (winning Gold) but returned to action in the Mexican League in 2022. The pandemic really messed up his prospects as he had hit .290 in 90 games with the AA Frisco Rough Riders before a promotion to AAA in 2019 and was coming off four straight season with home runs in double figures. He was still 23 at the time and looked ready to make his debut in the Show in short order when his career was derailed.
