Biographical Information

Julio Montesinos debuted in Cuba in 2008-2009, getting roughed up for 16 hits and 10 runs in 9 2/3 IP, going 0-1. After not appearing for two seasons, he went 1-1 with 8 saves and a 1.98 ERA for the 2011-2012 Industriales. In the last game of the championship, he relieved Antonio Romero with a 3-3 tie in the 9th but allowed Ricardo Bordón to single in Yorbis Borroto with the winner in the 11th. In 2012-2013, Montesinos went 1-1 with 6 saves and a 3.22 ERA; he tied for 6th in the Cuban Serie Nacional in saves.
