Biographical Information[edit]

Juan Maldonado was on the Bolivian national team in the 2011 South American Championship and 2012 South American Championship. He was Bolivia's center fielder in the 2013 Bolivarian Games. He went 1 for 15 with a walk, hit-by-pitch and one of their two runs in five games; he scored off Alexandre Moromizato in a 12-2 loss to Peru. He handled 16 chances error-free; no other Bolivian with more than five chances did not make an error. He was listed on Bolivia's roster for the 2016 South American Championship but did not play; Limbert Lafuente, who was not on the roster, did play, likely replacing Maldonado after the rosters went to print.
