Biographical Information

Jon Mercurio was a Pittsburgh Pirates scout and executive from the 1980s-2007, working his way up to Director of Operations. As a scout, he signed Jim Negrych, Josh Sharpless and Neil Walker. After being let go in a front office purge by Pittsburgh, he moved to the Philadelphia Phillies as an advance scout.
