Biographical Information

Joe Yingling is the brother of Charles Yingling.

"At Baltimore, Wednesday, quite a pitching feat was performed. The Townsend, Grace & Co. nine defeated the Brigham, Hopkins & Co. nine at Oriole Park by a score of 5 to 0. Mr. Joseph Yingling, the pitcher of the winning nine, accomplished the great feat of striking out nine men. Only 27 men faced him in nine innings." - from Sporting Life, June 21, 1890
