Joseph Myers
Joe Myers served as a replacement umpire in the National League during the umpires' strike in 1979. He worked a total of 13 games, but none as the home plate umpire. All of the games took place at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, PA.
Before his stint in the majors, he had worked in the minor leagues, beginning in the New York-Penn League in 1970. He moved to the Eastern League in 1971. He was in the Carolina League in 1972 and the International League in 1973.
