Biographical Information[edit]
Jamie Dix has played for the British national team.
He debuted with the 2013 London Mets and was 4 for 10. [1] He hit .265/.324/.471 in 2014, .333/.394/.533 in 2015, .378/.469/.476 in 2016, .326/.426/.422 in 2017, .386/.500/.523 in 2018 and .278/.480/.333 in 2019. He was 3 for 11 with a double, walk and a run for Britain in the 2017 European Championship U23. [2] He was only 1 for 14 with a walk, run and a RBI for the same event two years later. [3]
Dix was on Britain's squad for the 2019 European Championship. He replaced Richard Brereton in left one game when Brereton moved to the mound but did not bat or get a chance in the field. He also took over for Brereton late against the Dutch national team but did not get a bat. Replacing Conrad Cornell late against Sweden, he got one at-bat. Facing Pontus Byström, he grounded out to score Maikel Azcuy. [4]
