International Baseball League of Australia

From BR Bullpen

The International Baseball League of Australia was formed in 1999-2000 when a group led by Dave Nilsson purchased the floundering Australian Baseball League and renamed it. The reorganized league was a failure, only lasting two years - only one of which was international as the first year was strictly a local affair. Chris Snelling was MVP in year one while A.J. Zapp took the honors the next season. After the IBLA folded, it was replaced by the Claxton Shield, Australia's traditional baseball championship.
