Biographical Information[edit]
In selecting Glendon Rusch in the 17th round of the 1993 amateur draft, the Kansas City Royals passed up on future Royals All-Star Jermaine Dye, who was drafted by the Atlanta Braves later in that same round.
In his big league debut on April 6, 1997, Rusch retired 19 straight batters at one point and picked up the win in a 12-2 beating of the Minnesota Twins. While pitching for the New York Mets in 2001, Rusch threw a one-hitter, allowing only a disputed call bunt single.
Rusch was a pitching coach with the Lake Elsinore Storm in 2015-2017.
