Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder George M. Hill played two years in the minor leagues. He was a 36th-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1977 amateur draft. He debuted with the Niagara Falls Pirates (.309/~.449/.455 in 16 games) and Charleston Patriots (.259/~.341/.368 in 53 games). He then played for the 1978 Salem Pirates, hitting .235/~.356/.299 in 101 games. In March of 1979, Hill was traded with cash and Martin Rivas to the Boston Red Sox for Mike Easler, but he never appeared in the Red Sox chain.
