Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Umont played football with the New York Giants from 1943 to 1947. He was a lineman.
Umont began his umpiring career in the Western Carolina League in 1950. From there he went to the Piedmont League in 1951-1952 and the American Association in 1953. Umont was an American League umpire for twenty seasons, from 1954 to 1973 for a total of 3,147 games. During that span, he worked the World Series and All-Star Game four times each.
