Biographical Information[edit]

Franklyn Gracesqui was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 21st round of the 1998 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Charles Aliano and made his pro debut that summer.

Gracesqui pitched for nine years in the minors, 1998-2006, recording 382 strikeouts in 362 1/3 innings. He was up in the majors in 2004 for 7 games with the Florida Marlins, pitching 4.0 innings.

In 2007 he pitched for the Chunichi Dragons, posting a 2.35 ERA and going 3-0 in 17 games (with 18 walks in 23 IP) before injuring his elbow and being waived.

His brother, Francisco Gracesqui, began his minor league career in 2012.
