Biographical information[edit]
Eiji Miyamoto is a former minor league baseball pitcher who played from 2000 to 2002. His first name is sometimes spelled "Elgi".
In 2000, he played for the GCL Expos and Cape Fear Crocs, going 0-2 with a 2.52 ERA in nine games (eight starts) with the GCL Expos and 0-2 with a 3.78 ERA in three games started with the Crocs. He played for the Clinton Lumber Kings and Vermont Expos in 2001, going 2-4 with a 4.08 ERA in 20 relief appearances with the Lumber Kings and in one inning with Vermont, he was perfect. He played his final season in 2002 with the independent Jackson Senators. In five relief appearances with them, he had a 1.42 ERA.
He signed a provisional minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs in 2003, however he never played for them or any of of their minor league affiliates.
