Biographical Information

Ed Preisler was a long-time college coach. He won 11 varsity letters at San Diego State and was named their Athlete of the Year in 1939-1940. He was the baseball MVP there all three years he played and also played basketball and football. He was head coach of Caltech from 1948-1981, winning 858 games and their only Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title. He also coached their basketball team from 1960-1968.
