Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Dustin Carr played in the Tampa Bay Devil Rays system from 1997 to 2001, after being taken by the club in the 22nd round of the 1997 amateur draft. He reached Triple A twice.

Perhaps Carr's best season was 1999, when he hit .302/.396/.401 with 70 walks, 62 strikeouts, 139 hits and 76 runs scored in 125 games for the Orlando Rays.

In his first trial at Triple A, in 2000, he batted .219/.314/.293 in 111 games.

Overall, Carr hit .263/.358/.357 with 24 home runs and 225 RBI in 523 games over five seasons.
