Biographical Information[edit]

Harry Miller "Doc" Imlay pitched one season for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1913.

Imlay had attended the University of Pennsylvania between 1908-1913, attending the dental school - hence his nickname. He was on the frosh team before playing on the varsity team in 1911-1912. After baseball he practiced dentistry in Pennsylvania for 35 years. Source: University of Pennsylvania archives.

Imlay appeared in nine games for the Phillies who went 88-63. He was two years younger than fellow pitcher Pete Alexander and two years older than Eppa Rixey.
