Derek Zander has been a college coach.
Zander was 8-8 with two saves and a 5.47 ERA in two seasons for Iowa Wesleyan. After graduating in 2011, he spent a year as assistant coach, then was promoted to head coach. Zander was head coach from 2013 to 2017, then stepped aside to become athletic director at the school.
