David Hall

Biographical Information[edit]

David Hall coached in college, high school and in Italy.

Hall set a NCAA record for doubles (since broken) in 1970 and was twice All-Southwest Conference in college. He was head coach of Rice University from 1981-1991, setting a school record for wins with 41 in 1984. He coached both Norm Charlton and Dave Pavlas at Rice. After finishing at Rice, he was an assistant coach at Lamar University, coached Rimini in Italy's Serie A1 and coached Cypress Creek High School before dying of cancer.
