Biographical Information[edit]
Left-handed pitcher Chris Aure debuted as a pro in 2008.
Aure hit .475 and was 3-1 as a high school senior. He was picked by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 15th round of the 2008 amateur draft, the highest an Alaskan had been picked in 7 years. He debuted with the 2008 GCL Pirates, going 3-2 with 2 saves and a 3.90 ERA in 11 games (3 starts). In 2009, he pitched for the GCL squad again, going 0-0 with a 1.69 ERA in three relief appearances.
Aure has a tattoo describing him as "Alaska's Finnest" due to a typo.
