Biographical Information[edit]
Brian Meyer played second base at Otterbein College for three seasons and graduated in 2004 with a degree in sport management. He later earned a master's degree in education, also from Otterbein.
Meyer spent many years coaching on the college level in a variety of roles.

- 2010-2011 Assistant coach, Wright State University
- 2012-2016 Director of baseball operations, Tulane University
- 2017-2019 Volunteer assistant coach, Butler University
Meyer broadened his coaching credentials on the summer collegiate baseball circuit. In 2008 and 2009 he served as the hitting coach for the Licking County Settlers of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. Meyer was named head coach in 2010 and led the Settlers to the regular season championship with a 31-11 overall record.
The Minnesota Twins hired Meyer in 2020 to be the hitting coach for the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels before the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. He started 2021 in that role, but was promoted to manager on April 19th. Meyer returned to Fort Myers as manager in 2022 and earned Manager of the Year accolades in the Florida State League. Meyer continued as the Mighty Mussels manager through 2024.
