Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Brad Allen began his professional career in 2011.

After not being drafted, he spent his first two seasons in the independent Frontier League, posting a 1.07 ERA in 33 2/3 innings the latter campaign. He signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks for 2013. He pitched for the South Bend Silver Hawks and Visalia Oaks that year, going 8-7 with a 4.69 ERA in 23 games (20 starts), tossing a no-hitter on August 10 against the West Michigan Whitecaps. The hurler began 2014 in the Arizona system, was released after posting a 4.64 ERA his first four starts (despite going 3-0 with 25 strikeouts in 21 1/3 innings) and signed with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League. After a game with them, he signed with the Toronto Blue Jays and finished his season in their system. Overall, he was 7-5 with a 3.72 ERA in 20 starts, striking out 114 batters in 101 2/3 innings. He was with the Dunedin Blue Jays in 2015 and 2016, going 1-5 with a 4.02 mark in 21 games (6 starts) the former year and 5-7, 5.50 in 33 games (9 starts) the latter. With the independent York Revolution in 2017, he was 1-3 with 19 saves and a 2.98 ERA in 59 appearances.
