Biographical Information[edit]
Bobby Phillips played in the minor leagues from 1949 to 1952 and from 1954 to 1955. He batted .300 or better in four of the six seasons he played, with a career high of .332 in 1955. Perhaps his best season was 1951, when he hit .314 with 34 doubles, 11 triples and 195 hits in 148 games for the Wichita Falls Spudders.
He served in World War II prior to playing professionally.
