Biographical Information[edit]

Bill Wegman was signed as a 5th round pick in the 1981 amateur draft by the Milwaukee Brewers and scouting supervisor Nelson Burbrink and scout Gerry Craft. Taken 124th overall, the Milwaukee Brewers had to watch as the 125th overall pick, John Franco, went on to become one of baseball's all-time great closers.
