Biographical Information[edit]

Alain Patenaude pitched in the Olympics and minors.

Patenaude was named Best Pitcher of the 1984 Haarlem Baseball Week, which was won by his Team Canada. He also played for Canada in the 1984 Olympics. The Detroit Tigers took him in the 13th round of the 1985 amateur draft. He went 3-1 with a save and a 5.18 ERA that summer for the Bristol Tigers. With the '86 Gastonia Tigers, Alain had a 6-11, 5.44 record. He was 4th in the South Atlantic League in runs allowed (104), 5th in losses and 5th in earned runs allowed (87). That ended his pro career.
