The 2008 Italian Baseball League championship was won by T&A San Marino. They beat Caffe Danesi Nettuno in seven games to win their first Italian Series title. Max De Biase was named series MVP. In the awards, the Imperiali brothers swept things at 2B as Renato Imperiali was the All-Star and Francesco Imperiali won the Gold Glove. Rangers Redipuglia made their IBL debut and finished a miserable 2-40.
This year the league was rebranded, changing it's name from Serie A1 to the Italian Baseball League.
